Did you know that more than 42 million adults today can't read past 5th grade? Or how about 1 out of 4 children grow up not being able to read? The numbers are scary right?

There has always been a stigma that reading comics meant you were not good at studying or had no interest in it. But what if I were to tell you that that classroom is the right place for comic books?

TEDx is a platform similar to TED in presentation and can be organized by anyone who obtains a free license from TED. They prepare amazing events and guest speaks to come out and share their experiences and advice to different communities.

In 2013 at the TEDxMiami Conference, Rave Mehta is the author of THE INVENTOR, an inventor non-fiction graphic novel series, brings his series and shows how this graphic novel can change the way we approach education today. Eliminating the 20th-century teaching techniques and bringing techniques to match with our kids today!

Check out the link below on why comics belong in the classroom!
